HomeopathyWorld has a clinical side and a social side. This page explains, without legal wording, which of your data belongs to which — and why your patients never cross over.

Your patient records are yours alone

Patient records, consultations and appointments are tied to your account. No other member can open them. Someone who is not signed in gets nothing at all. This is enforced by the database itself, not by hiding buttons in the app.

They never touch Community or the leaderboard

There is no button anywhere that shares a patient record. Nothing you do on the clinical side earns XP, moves your streak, or changes your ranking. The Community and leaderboard code cannot read the clinical tables — and the build now fails if anyone ever writes code that does.

“Practice cases” are not patients

The number beside your name on the leaderboard counts cases you practised with the AI simulated patient. It has never counted real people. We renamed it from “cases” to “practice cases” because the old label was easy to misread as patients treated.

Clinic mode, and staying off the leaderboard

Clinic mode puts the app into patient work only, and takes your name off the leaderboard. Until September 2026 it did not do that second part — it hid the leaderboard from you while still listing you on it. That was wrong, it is fixed, and everyone affected was told. You can control ranking on its own at any time in Settings → Privacy, whichever mode you are in.

What is visible to other members

Posts and comments you write, your profile page while it is public, and your name and score while ranking is on. Settings → Privacy lists every kind of data with exactly who can see it, and the switches for the ones you control.

Being straight with you

No feature in the app shows your patient records to anyone but you. Separately, a small number of named administrators can reach the database directly for support and security, under audit — that is true of any hosted service, and we would rather say it than let you find out. We do not sell your data, and we never use patient records to train AI models.

When you upload a prescription or intake document to fill a form automatically, it is sent to our AI provider to be read and is not stored. That is the only time patient information leaves our database, and it only happens when you choose it.

How you can check

You can download everything we hold, or delete your account and its records, from Settings → Privacy. On our side, automated checks run against the live database on every release and confirm that clinical data stays isolated; a release does not ship if they fail.
