Stiff, puffy, achy, sore and rheumatic. Dwarfish. Many pains. SYCOTIC TAINT, poor reaction. Joints feel loose. Profuse, acrid discharges; causing itching (Tell.). Fishy odors. Nephritis. Small, very sore aphthæ, blisters, etc. Burnings. Burning at root of tongue. Formication; internal. Numbness. Tremor. Emaciation. Sour children. Offensiveness. Tumors. Loss of power in joints. .................... Memory weak, can't concentrate; forgets words, names; can't finish sentences. Mental confusion. Wild feeling. Meanness. Cruelty. Things seem strange. Tousled heads. Coryza with loss of taste and smell. Post-nasal discharge. Face, grayish, greasy, greenish; yellow at edge of hair. Red spiderlets on face (r). Acne on face; < after menses. Water tastes like perfume. Exhaled breath feels hot. Craves stimulants. Morning nausea. Vomiting of pregnancy. Heavy lower abdomen or prostate. Grinding colic; must brace feet. Dysmenorrhœa. Leans back to force a stool; then shivers. Cholera infantum. Fiery red, moist, violently itching anus. Scalding ammoniacal urine. Air hunger. Cough, > lying on face. Sore, oozing or icy nipples. Cutting, crawling, burning above (l) scapula. Fingertips burn and crack. Heavy legs. Tender, itching ball and soles. Sleeps in knee-chest position. A short nap seems a long one, but > (Nux-v.). Cold skin, but blood feels hot (Sec-c.). Burning heat, with sweat; wants to uncover, but is chilled thereby. Burning feet. Sweat easy; toward morning.

Forgetful of facts, figures and names; of what he has read. Makes mistakes in writing, of spelling, and words. Time move too slowly; everybody moves too slowly. He is in a constant hurry, in such a hurry that he gets out of breath. She is in such a hurry that she feels faint. Confusion of mind, dazed; fear of sensation; loses the idea when speaking. Great difficulty in stating her symptoms, loses herself and must be asked over again. Thinks some one is behind her; hears whispering. Sees faces that peer at her from behind the furniture (Phos.). Everything seems unreal (Alum.). Wild desperate feeling as if incipient insanity. Weeps when talking. Exhilaration in evening. Changeable state of mind; one moment sad, the next mirthful. Presentiment of death. Frightened sensation on waking as if something dreadful had happened. Fear of the dark. Anxiety about her salvation. Vertigo when stooping; ameliorated lying; aggravated from motion. Fear of falling.

Children: One of the many uses of this remedy is in the inherited complaints of children. The physician of long and active experience meets many obstinate cases in children. The infant soon emaciates and becomes marasmic, or a child becomes asthmatic, or suffers with vicious catarrh of nose or eyelids, or has ringworm on the scalp or face, or is dwarfed; and after some waste of time it comes to mind that the father was treated for gonorrhea that was obstinate and perhaps had condylomata on the genitalia. This remedy will cure, or begin the recovery. The woman married several years desires to become a mother. She was healthy when she married, but now she has ovarian pains, menstrual troubles, she has lost all sexual response, is growing pale and waxy, and becoming violently sensitive and nervous. The husband's history gives the cause, and this remedy will cure. The pale waxy young men, who crave stimulants and tobacco, who are sensitive to drafts, become stiff after exertion and walking, who perspire easily and are extremely sensitive to cold, who have never been well since having a gonorrhea cured by injections. Rheumatic symptoms: in every part of the body. Some symptoms are worse in the daytime. The usual comparison with Syphilinum, which reads, "Med. in daytime and Syph. at night," does not hold good as a sweeping statement. It is true that many Syph. pains are worse nights. It is true that some sycotic and Medorrhinum symptoms are worse daytimes. It is also true that many sycotic symptoms are violent day and night. It is also true that the mental symptoms of Med. are most violent at night.

Time moves too slowly. Dulness of memory : desire to procrastinate, because business seemed so lasting, or as if it could never be accomplished. In conversation would stop, and remark he could not think what word he wanted to use. Fears he is going to die. Is in a great hurry : in such a hurry that he feels fatigued. Epistax. . Continuous watering of eyes : sensation of sand under lids. Impotence. Incipient consumption. Great pallor ; yellowness of face, particularly around eyes, as if from a bruise. Yellow band across forehead close to hair. Neuralgia right upper and lower jaws, extending to temple. Hard swelling right upper jaw, as if in socket of a tooth gone years ago. Pale gums. Very sore mouth ; ulcers on tongue and in mouth, like blisters. Blisters inner surface cheeks and lips : skin peeling in patches. Violent retching and vomiting for forty-eight hours, first glairy mucus, lastly coffee grounds, with intense headache, great despon dency and sensation of impending death : during paroxysm was constantly praying. Cramps in stomach, as from wind. Sensation in pit of stomach as of a paper of pins, that seemed to force themselves through the flesh, causing her to rise and double up and scream : pins seem to come from each side. Intense pain in stomach and upper abdomen, with sensation of tightness. Congestion of liver. Burning heat round back like a coal of fire. Throbbing and thumping in region of suprarenal capsule, as if from abscess or sore spot just below fifth rib, right side.

she was given Medorrhinum cm. This was followed by rapid improvement of all symptoms, which has held for three months. Woman of 40, emaciated, with itching scalp, and hair falling out. She was better always at the sea-side. Coldness of breasts when the rest of the body was warm. A craving for salt—all Medorrhinum symptoms. She got Medorrhinum 10m. I tching and falling of hair ceased ; patient putting on weight ; with marked improvement in appearance also. He finds the indication, " physical complaints vanish at the seaside ", apart from the general tonic effect of a holiday, an extremely valuable one. We also have seen its fine action in some rheumatoid cases, as well as in a diversity of difficult conditions ; prescribed on symptoms, or on history. One remembers a fearful eye case, from gonorrheal infection in infancy, where an elderly woman gained much sight, and where the eyes became comparatively normal in appearance, under doses, at long intervals, of Medorrhinum and Syphillinum. One remembers a doctor friend, confronted with baffling mental symptoms in an elderly woman, most distressing to her people, who gave Medorrhinum with splendid results. Medorrhinum as said : has a wealth of mental symptoms, strange clairvoyance : curious confusions of the time sense, “ as though things done today occurred a week ago ". Loss of thought : difficulty in making right statements. Starts well, then does not know how to finish. Delusions of someone behind her, whisper ing. Faces peer at her from behind the furniture : persons come in, look at her, whisper, and say “ come !. ” Sees large people in the room : large rats running : feels a delicate hand smoothing her head from front to back. Sensation as if all life were unreal, like a dream.
